The Ministry of Agriculature and Irrigation has 14 insti- tutions under its jurisdiction and the Irrigation department, as having the largest staff force, constitutes an important department. [more]

Heavy M/C Deployment
There are (4) Mechanical Divisions under the responsibility of Directors. The Divisions assist in dispatching necessary machinery and equipment to works under construction and also meet the mechanical needs of the State and Division Maintenance Divisions. The four Mechanical Divisions also have one workshop each, and undertake major repairs. The Irrigation Department's heavy machinery inventory, as at the end of March 2004 is as follows :
